For the purpose of these terms, the following definitions apply:

- **"Services"** refers to the painting services provided by Pro Decorators.
3. Acceptance of Terms
By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.
4. Services Provided
We offer a range of painting services, including interior and exterior painting for residential and commercial properties. Our services include surface preparation, painting, and clean-up. We strive to provide high-quality workmanship and use premium materials.
5. Pricing and Payment
Our pricing is based on the scope of work, materials required, and labor involved. All prices are quoted in New Zealand dollars and are inclusive of GST. A deposit is required at the confirmation of work, prior to the said work start date and full payment is due upon completion of the work, unless otherwise agreed upon. We accept payments via bank transfer, credit card, and cash. Late payments may incur a fee of 5% per month.
6. Quotations and Estimates
Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance. The quoted price is subject to change if there are any alterations in the scope of work, unforeseen conditions, or additional requirements requested by the customer. We will inform you of any changes before proceeding with the work.
7. Customer Obligations
As a customer, you are responsible for:
- Providing access to the work site during the agreed-upon hours.
- Ensuring the work area is free of obstructions and personal belongings, including pets.
- Notifying us of any specific requirements, allergies, or concerns related to the work.
8. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled start date. If you cancel within 48 hours, a cancellation fee of 20% of the total quoted price may apply. Refunds for deposits or payments made will be processed within 10 business days, minus any applicable cancellation fees.
9. Liability
While we take every precaution to protect your property, we are not liable for any damages or losses resulting from the performance of our services, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct. Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for the services.
10. Guarantee/Warranty
We offer a one-year warranty on our workmanship. If any defects or issues arise within this period, we will rectify them at no additional cost. This warranty does not cover damages caused by external factors, misuse, or normal wear and tear.
11. Privacy Policy
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Any personal information collected during the course of our services will be used solely for the purpose of providing and improving our services. 12. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us directly to resolve the matter amicably. If a resolution cannot be reached, both parties agree to submit to mediation before pursuing any legal action. Mediation will be conducted in accordance with the rules of the New Zealand Dispute Resolution Centre.
13. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
14. Amendments
We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and it is your responsibility to review them regularly. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
